Applications
CompletedDigital Process Automation
I rebuilt an internal process application on a modern stack and retired the legacy system, while keeping its business rules intact.
Handover5/5
The finished case passes cleanly to the next team.
The problem
The process runs through a chain of requests, documents and sign-offs, and it has to end in a correct handover to the next department.
The legacy application held the rules for all of this. A rewrite could not change what those rules meant.
My contribution
- Documented existing behavior as a fixed contract before changing code, so that any deviation needed explicit sign-off.
- Rebuilt the backend and frontend on a modern TypeScript stack.
- Added single sign-on and automated email notifications.
- Automated document steps, including status tracking and reminders.
- Planned and carried out the cutover, then retired the old application.
